J5 : Cuisine et culture
Les garçons se sentent à l’aise dans les cuisines désormais. Ils s’entendent très bien avec l’équipe et améliorent leur anglais de jour en jour. Ils apprennent aussi du vocabulaire polonais ! Ils préparent des buffets pour les conférences se déroulant à l’hôtel.
Après le travail tous se sont retrouvés pour aller visiter l’usine d’Oscar Schindler.
L’exposition dans l’ancienne usine d’Oskar Schindler est située dans l’ancien bâtiment administratif. Elle raconte l’histoire de Cracovie et des habitants durant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale, à la fois polonais et juifs, qui vivaient dans la ville à l’époque. Il raconte aussi l’histoire des occupants allemands, qui ont interrompu la continuité de la coexistence des Polonais et des Juifs à Cracovie.
L’ancienne usine est un lieu très intéressant de part son exposition dans le contexte de la guerre. Le musée raconte l’histoire de la vie quotidienne des habitants de Cracovie et des tragédies de la guerre.
Cette usine a été popularisée par le film de Steven Spielberg « La liste de Schindler ».
Day 5 : Cooking and culture
The boys now feel at ease in the kitchen. They get on well with the staff and are improving their English. They also learn Polish words! They prepare buffets for the conferences taking place in the hotel.
After work everyone met at Oscar Schindler’s factory for a visit.
The exhibition in the former factory of Oskar Schindler is located in its former administrative building. This exhibition is a story about Cracow and its inhabitants during World War II, both Poles and Jews, who lived in Cracow at that time. It also relates the Germans, their occupants since 6 September 1939, occupants who interrupted the continuity of Polish-Jewish coexistence in Cracow.
Former factory of Oskar Schindler is a very interesting place because of its exposure in the context of the history of World War II. It shows the daily life of the inhabitants of Cracow – in their normal functioning and everyday war tragedies.
The story of Oskar Schindler, a factory owner, was described by Steven Spielberg’s film Schindler’s List. Among other things, this is why it is a very popular place among tourists.
